Identity, Connection, Reflection
Frederick Worrell is a contemporary Māori artist creating original artworks, reflective installations and bespoke commissions that explore identity, perspective and our relationship with the spaces we inhabit.
This circular convex mirror artwork features intricate Māori kōwhaiwhai patterns in vivid blues and turquoise, alongside native New Zealand birdlife. When illuminated by sunlight or spotlights, its colours reflect onto the surrounding surfaces, extending the artwork beyond the mirror and transforming the space through light, colour and movement.
