This is a reflective piece about Rawiri Tamanui and my pepeha, including Maungahaumia and Mangatu River. Rawiri Tamanui was a great Maori warrior, he was a fighter, leader and chief of Nga Ariki Kaiputahi. My choice of colour represents the Mangatu landscape: green and open. This piece also has unexpected beauty that lights up any space as it reflects direct sunlight.
